day 2 … water and oatmeal

reason #2 … to get rid of my droopy double chin

last night me and the support group sans 1 went to liberty park in cerritos. the park has an oval running track and is open late. what’s good about the track is that it’s slightly softer than regular concrete, so there’s less pressure on the legs and feet. i used to run there two years ago, having built up my stamina to last six laps (1 mile is 5 1/3 laps).

we walked for an hour. in the middle of it i separated from the group and did some running … actually a half-lap of running and a half-lap of walking for 3 laps. i really do enjoy running, so i’d best get rid of these extra pounds so i can run a 5k one day.

yesterday was a great day. now my fridge is stocked with enough spinach to make Popeye gag, a lot of fruit, and yogurt. the low-sugar stuff (yes, i actually spent a good amount of time looking at the labels… did you know those dannons and yoplaits have 30+ grams of sugar in each cup? yeesh) … i think i’m well equipped to last today. (let’s not get too cocky)

last night, while we were driving back to my place, we had stopped by a certain chicken place, one we usually frequented and ordered massiv quantities from. having sworn off fried foods to help his heart, my friend cried “damn you, church’s chicken!”
